After one week in Florida’s blinding heat, Makiki seems a drizzly and cool place — but always comfortable and welcoming.  Using the same pen I used on the road, but with greater appreciation.  This Lamy Al-Star was also in my pocket on all flights so I will sign off on its travel credentials.  I’m using a self ground cursive italic of around .5mm; ink is Platinum Pigment Blue, a very well behaved permanent blue that will now displace if not replace several Noodler’s bulletproof blues.

I didn’t take my Kunst & Papier journal with me so made up for some lost time by destroying innocent off-white space with various blue absurdities.  It’s good to be home!
