I really loved her polar bear and lamented its short tenure as the postcard stamp. These came out last September, I think, but I just noticed them. Amur tiger cub stamps! What I like about Nancy Stahl’s postage stamp animals is the stylization that rewards close examination of these tiny works. And this tiger, although seemingly composed from sheets cut with pinking shears, retains its selfhood and animal dignity.

I’m actually not much of a stamp guy, a philatelist. Maybe I just like tiny pictures of animals…
